If burgers were this delicious, I’d go every single day if I could.
The cafe was definitely worth the visit.
I was supposed to go for the dinner course last June 10th but due to work commitments, I had to cancel at the last minute. However, I decided to go on the 11th to get a taste of the lunch menu.
It wasn’t too difficult to find the restaurant, as the directions on Google was clear, although I’m surprised that the location of the cafe was a bit away from trendy Harajuku and Takeshita Street.
I arrived five minutes before it was set to open for lunch and was shocked at the number of people wanting to try the MakaNai collab menu.

It took awhile before I was seated by a staff member and it took around fifteen minutes before I was handed over the collab menu. The staff also informed me that because there are other guests who are visiting the cafe not for the MakaNai collab, I could only stay a maximum of 90 minutes. I was totally fine with it as I had plans later in the day and wouldn’t be able to stay long.

I’m not a fan of roast beef so I went for the hamburger plate, as well as the Fenn and Lance-themed drinks, which were muscat juice and elderflowers tea.
While waiting for my order, I started unwrapping the MakaNai 4th Anniversary acrylics as my friend Suzumi gave me permission to use her Fenn and Jasper acrylic stands, while I brought along my Lance, as we wanted all the Drinking Buddies to be present.
For ordering the hamburger plate, I was given a luncheon mat/placemat.

I came prepared, so as soon as I received it, I placed it inside a B4-sized hardcase.

The hamburger plate came in early so I scrambled to get Jasper setup.

The red moon is actually tororo (sticky grated yam)

I then remembered belatedly that I ordered Lance’s drink, so I switched up their positions:

Adding lime juice to the drink makes it purple.

Honestly, Lance’s drink fit the magical theme so well, because one had the option to turn it purple (which I did), so I found that cool both figuratively and literally, as it was a very humid afternoon.
The ambiance of the place was… hilarious, to put it lightly. The music being played in the background were really old songs (think 1960s), so it was very, very interesting to hear The Beach Boys’ Surfin’ USA while eating the hamburger plate surrounded by otome game acrylic stands.
Wonder if they have those songs in vinyl form in the Underworld? ♪(●´艸`)ムフフ
(Surfin’ USA~!)
When it was time for me to go, I bought bromides as requested by Suzumi, as well as can badges. The maximum number of bromides and can badges I could buy was 20 for each type, so I bought 20 for the bromides and 5 can badges.
In the end, we only managed to complete all thirteen characters for the bromides. Not once did our favorites appeared in can badge form… so I guess it’s back to buying can badges.
All in all, I enjoyed my time in the cafe, even though it was short. I understand though that they need to accommodate as many guests as possible, so I didn’t really mind leaving early.
I’ll be going for the dinner course on Wednesday this week, so see you all then!
