In the midst of Tokyo’s state of emergency declaration, K-Books somehow managed to move from their old location (near the Animate Flagship store by Sunshine Doori to the actual Otome Road!

Way, way back in 2015, the same building used to sell Shonen JUMP-related goods and I frequented the place. A bit hilarious that I’m now back to where I first started squandering my money.
I visited after work just to check the place out on May 22nd, and while it was a Friday night, Sunshine Doori, as well as Otome Road itself, was eerily empty.

While I was there, surprisingly, Otome Pavilion was business as usual (11:30 ~ 20:00). Aside from the plastic sheets that they installed to act as a barrier between the employees and the customers, it’s as if nothing was amiss.
It makes sense for K-Books to move their Otome Pavilion to Otome Road but it’s a bit of a hassle for me as I frequently use the Yamanote line to get to Ikebukuro, and it’s a 10 minute walk from the station to the store. At its old location, it took me only 5 minutes.
Still, I’m glad that this store exists. All the KoiRan/SLBP-related Date Masamune items I’ve passed up are sold here as “second-hand” items from time to time, so I head out whenever I have some free time to buy it.
Guess this means I should start getting used to walking distance again, just like in 2015…
